Cork and Galway went head-to-head for camogie’s biggest prize at Croke Park this evening, with the Rebelettes prevailing on a scoreline of 1-16 to 0-16.
It was double joy at GAA headquarters for the Rebel county after their intermediate team claimed the All-Ireland intermediate title in the preceding game.
Galway’s defeat means it was treble heartbreak for the county after defeats in last week’s All-Ireland Ladies football final and the men’s All-Ireland final two weeks ago.
Here’s how the action unfolded.

Ursula Jacob says Cork's match-winning goal from Katrina Mackey should have been ruled out
"We think she didn't get any flick on the ball. That's a big, big call there." - Ursula Jacob.
"The goal was suspect, the role of the umpires is crucial."
Ursula Jacob feels that Katrina Mackey's match-winning goal should have been ruled out for throwing the ball into the net.

Cork manager Ger Manley praises the standard of camogie from both sides
"Galway gave us a huge battle. They're a good team with some savage player in the forward line. What a game. I'm just glad we came out the right side of it," he tells The Sunday Game.
"The physical training is so high. You can see the levels of fitness from both sides today. I'm delighted. It's great. Liam Cronin (coach) is the key that makes it happen."

Hannah Looney says Cork want to be a 'generational team' bringing up three-in-a-row ambitions already
"It's unbelievable. I'm over the moon. We knew Galway would put up a challenge. People were saying it would be easier than that.
"What we want is to be a generational team. Winning back-to-back is only the start of it, we'll keep going.
"Winning back to back is something Cork have done before. It's in the tank in a lot of us girls. What hasn't been done is three-in-a-row and maybe it's a bit too early to start talking about that.
"We'll be celebrating for the week, celebrating for the winter. You work hard for this so we're going to enjoy it."
Looney was rowed down the River Lee with the O'Duffy Cup last year and she's calling on Olympic gold medallists to join in the celebrations this time around.
"Do you've any connections with Paul (O'Donovan) and Fintan (McCarthy)? We must get onto them and see if they'll row me down the Lee. I'll go down to Skibberreen for a row even!"

Cork have done it. They defend their All-Ireland senior camogie crown with a three point win over Galway. Their subs MacCartan and Finn made a huge difference scoring the last three points of the game between them. Katrina Mackey's goal was the difference in the end in what was a high class game of camogie that was lit up by some brilliant scores from both sides.

That could be the insurance score. McCartan latches onto a break and puts Cork three up.
Last chance saloon now for Galway.

Cork's defence stand tall to deny Orlaith McGrath with a hook as she lined up a late point. Galway are frustrated with Liz Dempsey for not giving Anne Marie Starr a free as she tried to break through the Cork defence.

Three wides in a row for Galway when they really needed a score. They'll rue these missed chances if they don't get over the line today.

There's a stoppage in play here as Saoirse McCartan gets the ankle strapped up. There should be three or four minutes of injury-time to come.

The subs are making a difference for Cork with Clodagh Finn displaying speed and footwork to lose a Galway defender, slotting them two up once again.

Cork edge back in front after a hard-earned score from the substitute. She punches the air to celebrate their first score in thirteen minutes, putting them back in front.

Sensational stuff from Galway goalkeeper Sarah Healy. She's at full stretch to bring Saoirse McCartan's point attempt back down from above the cross-bar. It really is a game of inches!

Donohue again. She's played a brilliant part in Galway's resurgence, scoring again from distance to level the game up.

What a score. Absolutely sensational stuff from the Mullagh player who continues to terrorise the Cork defence. Five-in-a-row for Galway. They're right back in it.
